After School Clubs

Mind Lab after school classes are held in primary schools throughout Scotland just after school finishes. Classes last one hour and run weekly during term time. As Mind Lab is new to Scotland we might not have reached your child's school yet. Please contact us. If you are the first to nominate your school, then your child will receive his / her first term of Mind Lab lessons free!

We often find that children who attend Mind Lab classes are happier in the playground because they have made friends in different classes in the school. We also see children who are normally quiet in school becoming much more interactive in Mind Lab.

Mind Lab typically costs from £40 for a term of lessons. This varies depending on the length of the term.

Mind Lab classes are relaxed and fun and your child will learn how to play a variety of the world’s most exciting “thinking” games! We play exciting and traditional board games from all over the world - most of the games will be new to you and your child - and in addition to teaching the game, each lesson has a learning outcome. This is where we teach your child thinking, social and emotional skills. At the end of each lesson your child will sit with the teacher to discuss how the new skill can be applied at home and in school. The children have so much fun they don't realise the critical life skills they are learning.

A special medal is presented at the end of each Mind Lab lesson to the pupil who showed exemplary sportsmanship that week. Parents are encouraged to be present for the medal ceremony, which takes only a minute or two and makes your child very proud.
